Thank you for the crash reports!
The problem was easily identified and fixed. In addition, a big improvement in the cloud code was made in XBSlink as well as the simple cloudlist server.
change-log:
- improved handling when joining a XBSlink cloud
- bug fix for unknown leaving cloud nodes
- bug fix for joining a cloud
- (a lot…) more error handling in XBSlink
- final code changes for Linux port
simple cloudlist server changes:
- improved handling for joining XBSlink nodes
- rejoining known client bug fixed, known UUID is send back
The Linux (mono) port of XBSlink will be released very soon. It might even run on Mac OS X

Awesome program can’t wait to try it out!!
Just have one question when using this program would it be possible to play games cross platforms?
Like playing a game using both pc, ps3 and xbox360??
Or is this impossible?
sorry, cross platform gaming is not possible with XBSlink
Hi, we have a scenario, not sure if XBSlink can support it or not.
Node A -> Node B: 15ms
Node B -> Node C: 2 ms
Node A -> Node C: 150 ms
We have Xbox 360 at node A and C, but the ping is over 30ms. Node B is a computer in my company and I can run XBSlink on it. If XBSlink can calculate the shortcut and route packages from A -> B -> C, then the total ping will be 17ms, still under 30ms. Possible?
sorry this is not supported by XBSlink.
IMHO – i highly doubt that the result would be as expected (by your numbers).
Just wanted to say thanks for this program. Love the direct connection idea. Working like a charm with a friend of mine, below the ping limit. Awesome!
good to hear! you are welcome.
I figured out the problem with the stun server!!
Anyway, also trying to get PS3 working and what I found is XBSlink MUST be running with MAC addy added BEFORE PS3 powers on. Also, after XBSlink is started, don’t click load cloud or the PS3 will be disconnected, then both XBSlink and PS3 have to be restarted
Sorry, I think I posted this in the wrong section, anyway;
For some reason I am getting .NET Unhandled Exception when trying to use the stunserver in .0.8.5.0 (Object reference not set to an instance of an object)
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
the STUN server option is actually obsolete and will be removed in the next version of XBSlink
